Maxim's and Jay Too's vet expenses
Update 05/13/2010

Maxim is doing great after his dental surgery and is now able to eat kibble and enjoy chew treats.

Jackie and Russ stepped up to the plate again and helped rescue another boy. Jay Too’s story is a long one, but he had been in a kennel for nearly 4 months because his owner is seriously ill and will not be able to care for this young boy. The kennel wanted him out because he was there far beyond the date he was scheduled to leave. He was also showing lots of stress being in a kennel. Jay Too was a bit of a handful and foster homes for him were non existent. Except Jackie and Russ took him in and are making great progress in rehabilitating him. He is a smart boy that just needs some discipline and love. Maxim abd Jay Too are shown in the pictures below. Jay Too is the gray skinny boy.

Jay Too required some vetting and thus I have increased the goal in the ChipIn. Please consider giving something to help Jackie and Russ out as they gave their time, money, and hearts to these two dogs that needed help. There is no rescue organization in Ontario, Canada, but a few people like Hazel Griffin, Kay Landry, and Russ and Jackie do a wonderful job of saving our beloved breed.

Maxim is a 10 year old male Bouvier that was dumped in a shelter in Ontario. One of the wonderful ladies up there pleaded with an older couple to adopt him. They did and love him dearly as he is a gentle fellow and well behaved. However, he has not been well cared for and had serious mouth and teeth problems which were treated. The expenses are substantial for the couple that adopted him and they need our help. The adopters are an older couple that are on a very limited income.

There is no doubt the shelter would have put Maxim down had Jackie and her hubby not adopted him. If there is soft spot in your heart to make a donation to off set their vet bills we would be so grateful. I sincerely hope the Bouvier family will band together to help this family with the costs as they really stepped up to the plate to help one of our senior dogs.

Any money collected in excess of the vet bills will be donated to the American Bouvier Rescue League which has donated a substantial portion of the vet bill.

Please help as this old fellow is doing great in his new home and deserves to spend the rest of his life healthy and happy.
